Recipe: Love Without Limits

Ingredients:

Neenah Classic Crest Cover 100lb, Solar White/White or cardstock of choice

Altenew Parrot Tulips Stamp and Die Set

Altenew Fresh Dye Inks: Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Firebrick, Peachy Glow, Golden Honeycomb, Melted Butterscotch, Olive, Mountain Pine, Arctic, and Caribbean Sky

Versafine Onyx Black

Metallic Pewter Diamond Dots

Foam Tape

Card Base/Front: Using white cardstock create a 4 ¼”  5 ½ “ top folding card base.  Color front of card with a layer of Arctic Ink.  Around the otter edge of the card, blend in a light layer of Caribbean Sky.  Using the ink pad, ink all sides of the card with Caribbean Sky.

Flowers: Stamp and die cut 4 flowers.  Stamp 2 flowers with Sunkissed for layer 1, Orange Cream for layer 2 and Firebrick for layer 3.  Stamp 2 flowers  with Peachy Glow for layer 1, Golden Honeycomb for layer 2 and Melted Butterscotch for layer 3.

Leaves: Stamp and die cut 4 leaves.  Stamp with Olive for layer 1 and Mountain Pine for layer 2.

Assembly:  Arrange and adhere the flowers and leaves on the bottom half to two-thirds of the card front.  Adhere first layer of the flowers and leaves flat to base of card.  Subsequent layers should be raised using either foam tape or multiple layers of cardstock.  Second layer should be raised only slightly compared to the first layer, use a lower profile foam tape or just a few layers of cardstock.  Third layer should be raised higher than second, either double the foam tape layer or use a higher profile foam tape.  Spread out the flowers and leaves so that they cover the bottom of the card, some flowers should go off of the page, trimmings can be used to fill in gaps.

Sentiment: On the top half of the card stamp “love”, underneath and to the right stamp “without limits”.   Place three Metallic Pewter Diamond Dots after the “love” sentiment.  Randomly place sequence amongst the flowers and leaves.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Stamp and Die Set

Altenew Fresh Dye Inks: Water Hyacinth, Alpine Aster, Crystal Violet, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen, and Jet Black

Patterned paper

Card Base/Front: Cut white cardstock to 5 ¾” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 1 ½”

Flowers/Stems/Leaves: Stamp both flowers from set.  Stamp flowers with Water Hyacinth for the first layer, Alpine Aster for second layer and Crystal Violet for the third layer.  Stamp stems and leaves with Frayed Leaf for the first layer, Forest Glades for the second and Evergreen for the third.   Die cut the stamped flowers and cut one additional layer from each die.  

Assembly: Cut patterned paper to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and adhere to the inside of the card.  On the card front (cut to 1 ½”) layer the flowers, adhere the smaller flower half off of the card front so it extends off the card to the right; from the back adhere the white die cut of the same flower to the back of the stamped die cut, this will basically sandwich the card front between the stamped die and the white die cut.  For the larger flower adhere the stamped and white die cuts together.  On top of the smaller flower, and slightly to the left (stay on the card front), with foam tape, adhere the larger flower to the card front.

Sentiment: Stamp and adhere sentiment inside the card, in the lower right-hand corner.

Recipe: LOVE

Black 80-100 lbs cardstock

Card Base: Cut grey cardstock to create side fold card base measuring 6 ¼” x 5”.

Color Layers: Cut black cardstock to 6” x 4 ¾”. Cut brown pearlized layer to 5 ¾” x 4 ½”.

Card Front: Cut white cardstock to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”. Stencil the cardstock using the Vintage Motifs Background Stencil and Shimmer Relief Paste. Once dry, lightly ink cardstock with Scorched Timber Distress Oxide.

Card Elements; Using the Fine Alphabet Die set, cut the word LOVE from white cardstock twice and adhere together. Die cut birdcage using Butterfly Dreams Die set. Color the birdcage using Aqualicious Fresh Dye Ink. Once the ink is dry, apply Versamark to entire birdcage and apply clear embossing power all over cage, sprinkling a small amount of gold embossing power on top of the clear; heat emboss the die cut. Using nesting dies, cut a frame measuring 4” x 5 ¼”, color the frame using Scorched Timber Distress Oxide.

Flowers and Leaves: Stamp one of each flower from stamp set-there are three full flowers and one bud. Use Dew Drops for the first layer, Aqualicious for the second, Teal cave for the third and Galactic Stream for the fourth. Stamp one of each of the leaves from the stamp set. For the leaves and bottom of the bud, use Limestone for the first layer and Silver Stone for the second. Die cut all flowers and leaves. From the Houseplants Die Set, cut two of the draping leaves from white cardstock.

Assembly: Adhere the black cardstock to the grey card base, the brown pearlized cardstock to the black and the stenciled cardstock to the brown pearlized. Using foam tape adhere the frame to the stenciled cardstock. In the lower left-hand corner of the frame, adhere the LOVE sentiment. Above the sentiment, adhere the birdcage. On top of the frame, in the upper left hand corner, adhere the bud and the two draping leaves die cuts. On the bottom right corner of the frame, arrange and adhere the remaining flowers and leaves, applying the first layer directly to the frame and subsequent layers to the frame using foam tape in order to provide additional dimension.
