Instructions:

From white cardstock, create a 5” x 7” card base. From dark pink cardstock, cut a 5” x 7” panel and adhere to card base. From black cardstock, cut a 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” panel and adhere to the dark pink cardstock.

Cut a 4 ½” x 6 ½” panel from the watercolor cardstock. Using the black obsidian ink, stamp the floral cluster from Bewitching Rose in the upper left had side of the watercolor panel; allow the ink to fully dry, you can heat set if desired. Open the watercolors and spray with water in order to activate the colors needed. Use two small watercolor brushes, one for picking up the color and one for water only. For the flowers, apply a light wash of Pink Diamond to all of the flowers, allowing some of the color to bleed outside of the bottom flowers, giving a slight halo of pink just under the stamped image. For the large flower, apply a light layer of Puffy Heart to the inner edges of the flower petals and use the clean watercolor brush to pull out the color to the middle of the petals. Allow to dry. Next, apply a light layer of Purple Wine to the inner edges of the flower petals and use the clean watercolor brush to pull out the color just sort of the middle of the petal. Follow the same process for the small cluster of flowers adding in Purple Wine as the last color to blend into the base of the petals. Use Citrus Burst to color the center of the small flowers. Color the small buds with Pink Diamond and Puffy Heart. For the cluster of round leaves at the top of the stamped image, use a light wash of Evergreen, concentrating most of the color at the bottom of the leaf and using the watercolor brush with water to blend out to the top of the leaf. For the remainder of the leaves, color all with a very light wash of Frayed Leaf. Once dry, add in a light wash of Forest Glades to the bottom of the leaves and pull out the color with the clean watercolor brush to the middle of the leaves. Let the panel fully dry.

Once dry, add deeper tones to the bottom of the leaves and flower petals using the coordinating colored pencils; lightly shade so no harsh lines are created. Using the 4B Monochrome pencil, add a light shading around each of the leaves and flowers that are along the outer edge of the stamped image; use a blending stump to soften the lines. With the black obsidian ink, stamp the sentiment in the lower right hand corner of the watercolor panel. Once dry, adhere the watercolor panel on top of the black cardstock panel.

Instructions:

From white cardstock, create a 5” x 7” card base. From light yellow cardstock, cut a 5” x 7” panel and adhere

to card base. From black cardstock, cut a 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” panel and adhere to the light yellow cardstock. Using

white cardstock cut a 2 ¾” x 1 ¼” sentiment strip. With black ink, stamp the sentiment in the center of the

sentiment strip,

Cut a 4 ½” x 6 ½” panel from the watercolor cardstock. Using embossing ink, stamp several flower and leaf

clusters over the entire watercolor panel and heat emboss with white embossing powder; allow panel to cool.

On a watercolor palette, glass or craft matt, squeeze a few drops of each of the reinker colors noted above. Spray the entire watercolor panel with water 2-3 times, it should not be dripping water but the entire panel should be wet. Use at least two watercolor brushes, one for the color and one for water only. Application of the colors is random, with most of the colors being lightly applied and others having darker areas. The intent is not to have all the colors run into each other but to have them subtly transition from one color to the next. Select your starting point and, using a watercolor brush, pick up a small amount of reinker and “drop” the color into the center of a flower then using the water only brush, pull out the color to shade in the rest of the flower, allowing some color to bleed outside the lines of the stamp. Do this until you reach the desired result, then move to another flower or leaf cluster that is not next to the flower you just colored-let this dry a little so when you color the flowers/leaves next to it the colors won’t mix together (unless that is your desired result). You may need to re-spray the unpainted areas of the card from time to time as the cardstock dries, you want to do the “wet on wet” technique in order to achieve the light cloudy effect.

Once fully dry, adhere the watercolor panel to the black cardstock panel then, adhere the sentiment strip to the right edge of the watercolor panel, just shy of half way down the panel.

Instructions:

From white cardstock, create a 5” x 7” card base. From orange cardstock, cut a 5” x 7” panel and adhere to

card base.

Cut a 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” panel from the watercolor cardstock. Using embossing ink, stamp floral arrangement starting on the left-hand side of the card so there will be a space on the upper right-hand side of the card for the sentiment. Heat emboss with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. Open the watercolors and spray with water in order to activate the colors needed. Use two small watercolor brushes, one for picking up the color and one for water only. Spray the watercolor panel with water, 1-2 sprays; the panel shouldn’t be dripping with

water but should be wet enough for a “wet on wet” type technique. The two large center flowers will be colored with Crimson and Grapevine. The small flowers will be colored with Orange Cream and Autumn blaze for the petals and Paper Bag for the centers. The small, oval shaped leaves will be colored with Evergreen and the

large leaves will be colored with Forest Glades. Coloring technique for the flower petals will be the same, use the lightest color to apply a light wash, allow to dry, then apply a light layer of the dark color at the base of the petal and use the water only brush to slightly pull out the color to the center. Leaves only have one color so will need multiple layers in order to achieve the shading effect; apply a light layer of the color to the entire leaf, allow to dry then go back and apply another layer to the base of the leaf and use the water only brush to pull out the color to the center. Allow panel to fully dry. Stamp sentiment in black ink in the upper right-hand side of the card. Adhere watercolor panel to the orange panel.
